Nashville Rotary Service Trust awards $20,000 to Nashville Food Project
Our Rotary Club of Nashville President Theresa Carl and Nashville Rotary Service Trust Community Investment Chair Joanne Pulles, presented a check today for $20,000 to The Nashville Food Project Associate Director Malinda Hersh and Meals Manager Anne Sale.
I joined them for a discussion about the scope of the work being done through The Nashville Food Project, we had a tour of the facility, and talked about volunteer opportunities. We hope to have a Saturday date and time confirmed in the next few days for a April / May spring project to include meal prep assistance (they prepare meals 200-300 at a time) and to help getting the community garden ready for spring planting.
Your contributions to the Nashville Rotary Service Trust Annual Footprint Fund last year make this grant possible. So THANK YOU for helping us to help them provide direct access to nutritious for the hungry in Nashville.
