10/23/17: Kristen Rector, President & CEO, Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee

When we create safe and stable environments for all children, we are promoting a healthier and more productive community, lower health care costs, and decreased incarceration rate.  Unfortunately, Adverse Childhood Experiences, also known as ACEs, undermine this goal of a solid future for Tennessee.  We all play a role in creation of a sustainable society with a healthy workforce by preventing and mitigating ACEs in our children today.

Kristen Rector began her career at Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee 16 years ago as a home visitor. Her experience working with families and as a mother to two children shapes her vision for the organization and ignites her passion to give every child in Tennessee a great childhood. In her tenure, the organization has grown from a staff of two to over 55 employees. Dedicated to building a trauma informed culture, she advocates for what is best for Tennessee’s children and families. Under her leadership, the organization is reaching more children and families than ever in its history.
