12/12/16: Gary Garfield, Retired Chairman, President & CEO, Bridgestone Americas, Inc.

Find out why they made that decision and what the new headquarters will be like. We will also hear about the growing need for transit solutions in Nashville and his involvement in the Moving Forward project. Gary Garfield joined Bridgestone Americas in the legal department in 1991, eventually rising to the position of vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer and secretary of Bridgestone Americas. In March 2010, he was promoted to Bridgestone Americas’ CEO and president, and in January 2016 he was named executive chairman.
Among the many board of directors of several charitable and industry organizations, Garfield also serves on the Steering Committee of Nashville’s Agenda. In 2011, he joined the Board of Visitors – Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Business.
