6/18/18: Panel Discussion on Nashville’s Housing Issue – What is Affordable?
Nashville currently has the lowest unemployment rate of any large metropolitan area in the country, just past the milestone of 1,000,000 workers, housing costs that have risen more quickly than anytime time in modern history, and an antiquated transportation system that could help the situation but may not for years to come. Affordable Housing. Exactly what does that mean in Nashville with our neighborhood revitalizations, downtown transformations, and exploding tourism? With just under 100 new people moving to Nashville each day, where do they find housing and how do they afford it?
