7/9/18: Changing of the Guard & NRST Grant Announcements

Seven organizations will be awarded grants from the Nashville Rotary Service Trust at our meeting on July 9.  These organizations are dedicated to impacting our community in our service focus areas of hunger/nutrition, literacy/education and housing/community building.  Through the contributions of our members to the NRST Annual Footprint Fund, grants totally $150,000 and thousands of volunteers will be provided in our new Rotary year.

What is the value of philanthropy locally and internationally?  Does your monetary contribution to truly impact need? Joanne Pulles, CEO of the HCA Foundation will share insights on the economic impact made by through philanthropic giving.

June 30thended our Club’s 104th year and this Monday, we have an opportunity to express our appreciation for the outstanding leadership provided by President Evette White, CEO, Executive Selection, Inc.

This year, a great deal has been accomplished with the support of many Rotarians:

  • 79new members joined and 5 orientation sessions held
  • 44outstanding, diverse speakers
  • 6community service hands-on projects completed with five community organization partners
  • $152,000 contributed to the Nashville Rotary Service Trust Annual Footprint Fund
  • $40,855contributed to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International’s Every Rotarian Every Year campaign

As we begin a new Rotary year, we welcome President Elect Ronald Roberts, Managing Partner, DVL Seigenthaler Pr. and an enthusiastic team of leaders for our club.  Ronald has already been hard at work recruiting committee and project chairpersons, attending the President Elects Training Seminar in Chattanooga, TN and the District 6760 Conference in Cool Springs, TN.   Ronald will kick off his year with a Leadership Planning Session on July 24.
