11/4/2019: The Transition: Military to Civilian Life

The Rotary Club of Nashville will honor our members who have served in the military by focusing on the transition from military to civilian life and the experience of military families. Our speaker and moderator, Brigadier General (Retired) Scott E. Brower, graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1989 and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Defense Artillery. His initial assignment was to the 8th Infantry Division (Mechanized) in Mainz, West Germany where he served in Operation Desert Storm. In General Brower’s final assignment at Fort Campbell, KY, which culminated 12 years of service at this installation, he served as the Acting Senior Commander for the 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell. Post military service, the Browers have elected to remain part of the Fort Campbell community and reside in Clarksville, TN where General Brower serves as the Military Advisor in Residence to the President of Austin Peay State University.
