Partner Spotlight: Moves & Grooves

Focused on providing after school programs in the Antioch community, Moves and Grooves has provided free programs to youth since 2002. Moves and Grooves helps children grow academically, while exposing them to the arts and dance. Founder Emerald Mitchell challenges students to create, learn and explore. Rotarians conducted “speed networking” events with two middle schools, and enjoyed sharing their career paths with these bright young adults.

We have helped landscape a new home that Rotary built; put together playground equipment for a childcare center and delivered food to hungry Nashvillians. Showing them rather than telling them the value of giving back has meant a great deal to me.”
